Source for "Apple IDs for sale"?

[edit]

While I am sure that Apple IDs can be purchased in various places online, any source that they are so easy to find? Yakatz (talk) 01:26, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

is Apple ID an email address or not?

[edit]

Is it my gmail address xxxx@gmail.com? or is it like my Wikipedia ID, tri400? Tri400 (talk) 12:53, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Now you have to use an email address, but previously you could use either (as you can add a 'contact email' to either type). As a legacy user of MobileMe (like .mac & iTools users before that), for example, unless I abandon previous purchases I'm effectively still forced to have two A-ID's – one for my old/new digital/physical purchases (e.g. my.name), another for iCloud services (e.g. my.name@me.com, later interchangeable with my.name@icloud.com) --Jimthing (talk) 14:50, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Article biased in favour of Apple

[edit]

The whole friendly tone of the article reads like a plug for Apple. Itgives a long list of benefits of an AppleID but fails to outline some of the disadvantages.

One is that possessing a credit card in one country will limit you to purchasing from the iTunes store in that country only. If you happen to live in another country and want to use your 'universal' AppleID, you will be immediately locked INTO apps in the country of your credit card and OUT of apps available in your country of residence. This is a severe disadvantage of the AppleID system. In this day and age of internationalisation, why is Wikipedia written strictly from Apple's point of view and not from the point of view of users? --221.222.125.237 (talk) 14:35, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome. Your point is interesting and you seem to have thought it through. If these facts can be verified, then why not directly edit the article, yourself? Cheers! --Ds13 (talk) 14:57, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I created this article?

[edit]

I find it hard to believe I created this article five years ago under the username User:Beanygirl80. I have so many pseudonyms it's not even funny (and I'm not a girl). I don't remember creating it either, which is even more confusing.

Looking at it now, I wonder, is it even notable? Buffaboy talk 23:35, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
